The crypto markets have been on a rollercoaster so far this year. The price of Bitcoin has seen wild swings, with the currency surging from a high of $20,000 in December to less than $7,000 as of August. Since then, Bitcoin has been trading in a range of $8,000 to $10,000, with no clear direction in sight.

The cryptocurrency market is known for its volatility, but the answer to where it could go from here is not as obvious as you might think. Cryptocurrencies are known as “digital gold”, but they are not the same as real gold. There are many different cryptocurrencies and while they all have their own value, they are not all equally valuable.
