The last dip is the deepest as wife leaves husband for buying more Bitcoin
The pressure to sell bitcoin (BTC) at the highest price is proving too much for some couples.
A Reddit post revealed that the man’s wife left him after he refused to sell his bitcoin holdings when the price reached $60,000 and instead stocked up on BTC during the recent price drop.
In a post titled My Wife Is Leaving Because Bitcoin, user u/Parking_Meater says his wife packed up and moved in with his sister after catching him converting more money into bitcoins. A Reddit user wrote:
She just left to stay with her sisters. She is very upset that I didn’t sell for 60,000 and looks at the price and scolds me often. I keep telling him we don’t need money and we have it. We live well. But today she caught me buying gravy and she got so mad she almost hit me! She packed her bags and went to her sisters’ house.
We don’t know the title of the woman in the poster, but her sales instinct when bitcoin was 13. The March high of $61,321 would have prevented a 15% loss, given the currency’s performance since then.
But at the same time, if Mr Husband had bought the dip when bitcoin hit a two-week low of $52,182 early Thursday morning (UTC) – coinciding with the timing of his post – he would have been satisfied with a 2.2% bounce at the time of publication.
